Alpenglow Community Park is Bend Park & Rec’s newest community park which opened in Spring 2022. The demonstration garden is a joint venture of the Central Oregon Master Gardener Association, Oregon State University Extension Service, and Bend Park and Recreation District. The demonstration garden within the deer fencing is divided into five areas: Small Urban Garden, Fire-wise Garden, Low Maintenance Garden, Pollinator Garden, and a rotating Cultural Garden. Native plants are outside the fencing.
